In a lot of Sydney apartment moves, the lift is the actual bottleneck — not the truck, not the crew, the lift. Skipping the booking step is one of the most common reasons a moving day gets delayed before it’s even started. Why the lift needs its own booking A shared lift serves every resident

Two moves with identical addresses and an identical amount of stuff can still take very different amounts of time — and traffic is often why. Here’s how timing actually affects a Sydney move. Sydney’s predictable peak windows Like most capital cities, Sydney runs busiest roughly 7–9am and 3–6pm on weekdays. A move that starts inside

A moving truck needs somewhere real to sit for the length of the job — not a five-minute stop. In Sydney’s denser suburbs, that’s rarely automatic. Here’s what actually matters for parking and loading zones on moving day. What a loading zone actually allows Loading zones are exactly where a moving truck should park when

Most moving quotes assume a standard load — furniture and boxes a couple of people can carry safely between them. Pianos, safes, treadmills and pool tables don’t fit that assumption, and pretending they do is how quotes end up wrong on the day. Here’s what actually drives the cost up, and why. What makes an

They’re rarely quoting the same thing A quote is only as good as what’s included in

If you’ve got any flexibility on your moving date, it’s worth knowing this before you book: the day of the week can move your total cost by more than almost any other single decision you’ll make. The actual rate difference Weekday Weekend Rate (2 movers + truck, before GST) $68 + GST per half hour

A cheap-looking quote can turn into an expensive moving day if the fine print — or the total absence of fine print — hides a few extra charges. Most “hidden fees” aren’t secret so much as unasked-about: they only show up because nobody mentioned them before the truck arrived. Here are the five to check
