Commercial Removalists Sydney — Retail, Warehouse & Business Relocations Done Right
After-hours and weekend moves. Careful handling of specialist equipment. Fixed quotes you can plan your trading around.
A commercial move is a different proposition to a residential one. You’re not just moving belongings — you’re moving a business. Every hour your premises is closed, you’re not trading. Every piece of equipment that’s damaged or delayed is a cost. Every day the new site isn’t operational is revenue you’re not earning. Move Masters Removalists approaches commercial relocations with that reality in mind. We plan each move around your trading hours, your equipment, and your timeline — not ours. Whether you’re relocating a retail shop, a restaurant, a warehouse, a medical practice, or a gym, our team will move you efficiently, carefully, and with as little disruption to your operation as possible.

Every commercial environment presents its own challenges. We’ve moved businesses across all of the following sectors — and we understand what each one needs.
Retail Shop & Boutique Relocations
Retail moves come with a hard constraint: lost trading days cost money. We plan retail relocations to happen overnight or over a weekend whenever possible, so you close on Friday and open in the new location on Monday. We handle shop counters, display cabinets, shelving systems, point-of-sale equipment, clothing racks, mannequins, mirrors, and stock. For shopfits with custom joinery or built-in display units, we’ll plan the disassembly and reinstallation in consultation with your fitout contractor.
Restaurant & Hospitality Relocations
Commercial kitchen equipment is heavy, expensive, and sensitive — rangehoods, commercial ovens, upright fridges and freezers, benches, deep fryers, dishwashers, and bar equipment all need proper planning to move safely. We coordinate with your kitchen contractor and plumber on timing, and we move dining furniture, bar setups, espresso equipment, and front-of-house fit-out alongside the back-of-house. We schedule hospitality moves around your trading calendar to minimise closure days.
Warehouse & Industrial Relocations
Warehouse moves involve a different class of challenge: volume, weight, and the logistics of moving a functional operation without halting it. We handle warehouse shelving and racking systems (disassembly and reinstallation), bulk stock movement, pallet goods, large and heavy equipment, and the furniture and equipment in the attached office. For complex warehouses, we do a site survey first and build a sequenced move plan — often phasing the move over several nights so the warehouse keeps operating through the transition.
Medical & Allied Health Relocations
Medical and allied health practices require a careful approach. Examination tables, dental chairs, diagnostic equipment, specialist medical devices, and medication storage all have handling requirements that general removalists don’t account for. Records and patient files require confidential handling — we can lock-seal records for transport and sign a confidentiality agreement on request. We work around your appointment schedule and aim to have your practice operational again with minimum downtime.
Gym & Fitness Studio Relocations
Gym equipment is among the most challenging commercial inventory to move: heavy cardio machines (treadmills, bikes, rowers), plate-loaded racks, cable machines, functional training rigs, free weights, mirrors, and flooring. Most of it requires disassembly to move safely and reassembly at the new site. We plan gym relocations over a weekend wherever possible, and we handle the full inventory — from the reception desk to the last kettlebell.
Showroom & Display Space Relocations
Showrooms for furniture, automotive, appliances, and luxury goods require careful handling of high-value display items. Large display pieces, custom installations, branded signage, and delicate product displays all need specialist wrapping, secure transport, and precise reinstallation. We work with your team to confirm placement at the new site so the space is ready to open on schedule.
School, Education & Not-For-Profit Relocations
Schools, childcare centres, training providers, and not-for-profit organisations often have complex moves involving large volumes of classroom furniture, AV and IT equipment, library collections, and specialist resources. Budget is usually a real consideration. We’re straightforward about pricing, work efficiently, and can phase larger moves across school holidays or low activity periods to avoid disruption.

Commercial Move Pricing — Transparent, Fixed, No Surprises
Commercial moves are priced on scope, not the clock. Because every commercial job differs in nature and complexity, we give a customised quote built around your specific move. After a consultation — in person or by phone — you receive a fixed quote covering the full job. No hourly creep. No “that’s extra” on move day.
What determines your quote
- Volume and complexity — the size and nature of your inventory, including any specialist equipment that needs extra handling time or equipment.
- Timing — standard-hours moves are priced at base rates. After-hours and weekend moves carry a surcharge, but for most businesses this is worthwhile to avoid trading disruption.
- Access — loading dock availability, lift restrictions, parking permits, stair access, and distance between truck and premises all affect crew time and are assessed upfront.
The consultation process
We don’t quote commercial moves without a conversation first. For smaller businesses (single retail shops, small medical practices), a 15-minute phone call and a few photos is usually enough. For larger operations (warehouses, multi-room practices, restaurants), we do a site walkthrough. There’s no charge for the consultation and no obligation on the quote.

Planned around your trading hours
The consultation isn’t just about inventory — it’s about understanding when you can and can’t be closed. We build the move plan around your trading calendar, lease handover dates, and fit-out schedule. If the move needs to happen in stages to keep part of the business running, we plan it that way.
Fixed quotes — no surprises on the day
You agree the price before we start. If additional scope emerges after the quote (items not included in the walkthrough, unexpected access issues), we’ll discuss it with you before any new charges apply. Commercial clients can’t absorb surprise costs on moving day — and we don’t create them.
Specialist handling as standard
Commercial environments contain equipment that general removalists damage because they underestimate it: commercial fridges that crack if tilted wrong, dental chairs that need a specific carry method, gym machines that must be partially dismantled before they’ll fit through a doorway. We assess specialist items before the move, not during it.
One coordinator, start to finish
From consultation to final delivery sign-off, you deal with one person from Move Masters Removalists. Not a call centre. Not a different person every time you ring. One coordinator who knows your move, your premises, and your timeline.
Properly insured and registered
Move Masters Removalists Pty Ltd is a registered Australian company, ACN 681 706 061. Every commercial job carries public liability insurance and standard goods-in-transit cover. For high-value commercial equipment, we can discuss additional cover during the consultation.
After-hours and interstate capability
Most commercial moves happen outside business hours. We have the crew and scheduling to run evening, overnight, and weekend moves across Sydney, and we handle interstate commercial relocations for businesses moving between Sydney and Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, and Perth.
Our Commercial Relocation Process
1. Initial Consultation
You call or send an enquiry. We ask about your business type, current and new premises, inventory overview, and timeline. For straightforward moves, we can provide a quote from this conversation and a few photos. For more complex relocations, we schedule a site visit.
2. Site Survey & Move Plan
For larger or more complex moves, we visit both sites. We assess inventory, access (loading docks, lifts, parking), specialist equipment, and timing requirements. We then build a written move plan covering sequence, crew allocation, specialist equipment approach, and phasing if needed.
3. Fixed Quote
You receive a fixed, itemised quote. No ambiguity about what’s included. If there are items or scenarios that carry a conditional charge (e.g. after-hours surcharge if required, additional crew for oversized equipment), they’re disclosed upfront in the quote.
4. Pre-Move Coordination
Once booked, we coordinate building management at both ends — loading dock access, lift bookings, parking permits, security access for after-hours moves. This is our job, not yours. You focus on your business handover.
5. Move Execution
Crew arrives at the agreed time. We work through the move plan with your nominated contact. Everything is wrapped, tracked, transported, and placed. Specialist items get their own handling sequence. You stay informed throughout — no wondering what’s happening.
6. Delivery & Sign-Off
At the new site, we unload, place items per your floor plan, reassemble furniture and fixtures, and clear all packing materials. Your nominated contact does a walkthrough with us to confirm everything’s in order. Sign-off, handover, done.
Commercial Relocations — Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a commercial move cost in Sydney?
Commercial moves are priced on scope — inventory, specialist equipment, timing, and access — so there’s no single hourly rate that applies across the board. Because every commercial job differs in nature and complexity, we build a customised, fixed quote for the full job after a brief consultation. Contact us for a free consultation and quote.
How far in advance should we book a commercial move?
For small commercial moves (single retail shop, small practice), 2–4 weeks is usually sufficient. For mid-size and larger operations — restaurants, warehouses, multi-room businesses — plan for 4–8 weeks to allow time for the site survey, move plan, building access coordination, and any specialist equipment arrangements. The more complex the move, the more time the planning needs.
Can you move us after-hours or on a weekend so we don’t lose trading days?
Yes — and this is how most of our commercial moves run. A surcharge applies for after-hours and weekend work, but for most businesses the cost of trading disruption is far higher than the surcharge. We coordinate building access, security, and dock bookings for out-of-hours moves as part of the service.
Do you handle commercial kitchen equipment?
Yes. Commercial kitchen equipment — ovens, rangehoods, commercial fridges and freezers, benches, dishwashers, espresso machines, and bar equipment — requires careful handling and in some cases coordination with your plumber or kitchen contractor for disconnect and reconnect. We move the equipment; your trades handle the services. Mention kitchen equipment when you enquire so we include it in the quote and plan.
Can you disassemble and reinstall warehouse racking and shelving?
Yes. Warehouse racking and shelving systems are assessed during the site survey so we understand the configuration and reinstallation requirements. We disassemble, transport, and reinstall. For custom or engineered racking systems, we may coordinate with a specialist installer at the new site — we’ll flag this during the consultation.
How do you handle confidential files and records?
Confidential records — legal files, patient records, HR documents, financial records — are sealed and tracked throughout the move. We can transport files in locked tamper-evident boxes, maintain a chain-of-custody log, and sign a confidentiality agreement on request. Records are never left unattended during the move.
Can you move us interstate?
Yes. We handle commercial relocations between Sydney and Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, and Perth. Interstate commercial moves are planned and priced individually, starting with a consultation on your inventory, timeline, and operational requirements. See our interstate moves page for more detail.
What insurance covers a commercial move?
Every commercial move with Move Masters Removalists carries public liability insurance and standard goods-in-transit cover for your items in our care. For high-value commercial equipment — specialised machinery, commercial kitchen equipment, medical devices — we recommend confirming your own business contents insurance applies during transit, and we can discuss additional cover during the consultation.
Can you handle a phased move so we keep operating during the transition?
Yes — this is common for larger businesses that can’t close completely. We plan phased moves over multiple nights or weekends, moving departments or sections in sequence. The phase plan is agreed during the consultation so your business stays functional throughout. This is particularly common for warehouses, larger medical practices, and multi-department businesses.
Do you provide moving boxes and crates for commercial moves?
Yes. Archive boxes, standard moving boxes, and lockable plastic crates are available for hire or purchase. Crates are particularly useful for office environments within commercial moves — they stack cleanly, lock, and move efficiently on trolleys. Packing materials (paper, bubble wrap, tape) are also supplied. Let us know your requirements during the consultation.
